  • We are excited to announce an upcoming training hosted by PIHC’s Emotional Wellness and Recovery Department, in collaboration with the PIHC Institute.

    Training Title: Ethics in Addiction Counseling

    This training will be presented by Jim Seckman, M.Div, MAC, CACII, CCS and will provide clinicians and helping professionals with a comprehensive understanding of ethical practices in addiction counseling. Participants will explore key ethical guidelines, professional standards, and practical strategies to support ethical decision-making and effective client care.

    Training Objectives

    Participants will be able to:

    • Understand ethical guidelines for addressing patients seeking addiction counseling
    • Examine ethical standards for working with clients in Addiction Services
    • Develop an understanding of boundaries and their role in providing ethical care to those in addiction counseling
    • Identify 3–5 personalized boundaries to improve the quality of care provided to clients seeking addiction counseling
