  • We are excited to announce an upcoming training hosted by PIHC’s Emotional Wellness and Recovery Department, in collaboration with the PIHC Institute.

    Training Title: Theories of Clinical Supervision

    Date: July 9, 2026
    Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (3 hours)
    Location: Positive Impact Health Centers

    This training will be presented by Dr. Rico Curtis-Davidson, LPC, CPCS and will provide clinicians and helping professionals with a comprehensive overview of key theories and models of clinical supervision. Participants will gain practical tools and strategies to enhance their supervisory skills, support professional development, and promote ethical, effective clinical practice.

    Training Objectives

    Participants will be able to:

    • Understand key theories and models of clinical supervision, including developmental, integrative, and competency-based approaches
    • Develop skills to effectively assess supervisee needs, strengths, and areas for growth within a structured supervisory framework
    • Apply evidence-based supervision strategies to support ethical practice, professional development, and clinical skill-building
    • Enhance the ability to address challenges in supervision, including managing countertransference, boundary issues, and diversity-related dynamics

    • $120 for participants outside of the agency
