We are excited to announce an upcoming Mandated Reporting: Laws, Ethics and Documentation Training Session hosted by PIHC’s Emotional Wellness and Recovery Department in collaboration with the PIHC Institute on March 27th, 2026. This valuable training session will take place at 2800 Century Parkway NE, Ste 500, Atlanta GA 30345 in the big training room from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This training will be presented by Amanda J. Holloway, LPC, Associate Director, PIHC Recovery, and will will provide clinicians and helping professionals with a clear, practical understanding of mandated reporting laws and their application in everyday clinical practice. Participants will explore legal requirements, ethical responsibilities, and best practices for documentation to ensure compliance while maintaining client-centered care.
Training Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Understand how mandated reporting laws impact daily clinical practice, including who is required to report and the purpose behind these laws
- Determine when concern becomes reportable by recognizing abuse and neglect and identifying the information required to initiate a report
- Identify who is protected under mandated reporting statutes and how these protections guide ethical decision-making and clinical judgment
- Document mandated reporting decisions with confidence, ensuring records are accurate, ethical, and aligned with legal standards and coordinated care
